Senior Cardinal Ben Bullock Wins Schwartz as Outstanding Div. III Football Player
Bishop Carroll Grade 12 student, Ben Bullock, was presented with the Stan Schwartz – Heart of A Champion award for Division III football players. The award acknowledged Ben as he displayed the important life skills exemplified by long standing high school football supporter, Mr. Stan Schwartz. These characteristics include determination, pride, perseverance, dedication, integrity and leadership through the pursuit of excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
Ben is a three year player with the Sr. Football “Cardinals” at Bishop Carroll, who also participates in Cross-Country running, Swimming and Diving as well as Rugby. He is one of the team captains in football playing both defensive back and linebacker.
The award, given to one student athlete in each of the three divisions of high school football, was presented during the Calgary Stampeders western semi-final, against Edmonton, on November 15. Each of the winners received, from the Stampeders, an individual keeper trophy and a $500 scholarship for post secondary education pursuits. Congratulations Ben!
